Ms.Tiguidanke Camara participated as a speaker at    the Extraordinary Summit on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) held from 17 to 21 March 2018 in Kigali, Rwanda. She was on the plenary session II Jobs, Youth and Women: What can AFCFTA  bring for African citizens ?  44 African Union member States signed the AFCFTA consolidated text, 47 signed the Kigali Declaration and 30 signed the Free Movement Protocole.
 
Ms. Camara is honored to have taken part of this great and historic moment. As a private sector she is ready to be one of the vectors and supporters of the AFCFTA agenda to bring wealth, peace and security to African citizens. She salutes the African leaders for taking the leap into history by signing the AFCFTA which will enable Intra-Africa trade to boost Africa's economy, thus providing jobs, security and prosperity for women and youth

To help Africa find the path to its long-deserved economic fortune, the African Development Bank is championing the region’s premier investment market. The Bank is providing collaborative leadership for a new 100% transactional initiative – the Africa Investment Forum (AIF) – which provides Africa’s best opportunity so far to encourage accelerated economic transformation. The African Development Bank is working with the world’s leading financial institutions to de-risk investment through the platform and make it a springboard for Africa’s economic transformation. The President of the African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina, told key Government and private sector leaders at a breakfast session on the sidelines of the 2018 Africa CEO Forum in Abidjan on March 27, 2018, that the AIF would be exclusively about transactions and investment deals.  Ms.Tiguidanke Camara took part of the breakfast session as a speaker representing women and youth alongside Ghana’s Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, the Chief Executive Officer of one Africa’s largest distributor of consumer goods, Massmart, Kuseni Dlamini, and the Vic-President of AFDB, Mr.Amadou Hott. Tigui Camara, Chief Executive Officer of Tigui Mining Company, said she was delighted that the African Development Bank was leading the investment initiative and called for more support for women in the informal sector. The breakfast session was well attended by top Government officials,
industry leaders and financial institutions, including the President of African Export–Import Bank (Afreximbank), Dr. Benedict Okey Oramah. The Africa Investment Forum will focus on improving the ease of doing business in Africa by advancing and promoting investment-friendly regulation. It will also champion ethical business practices in Africa.

On international women’s day in 2018, Ms.Tiguidanke  Camara participated to the AFRICA CEO FORUM, which took place on 26 and 27 March in Abidjan,
unveil its three high-impact events bringing women’s leadership to the fore: Women on Board, which has been recruiting and connecting African women CEOs looking to join a board of directors and companies wishing to “feminize” their board of directors. The first of these high-impact actions is the W o m e n o n B o a r d drive, which began ahead of the AFRICA CEO FORUM with the aim of promoting African women’s access to the highest level of corporate decision-making: the board of directors.
